Gas and Electric Fires
Gas Fires.
There is nothing quite like the effect of a fire. It creates a wonderful feeling of comfort and cosiness with the added dimensions of a warm glow that it brings to any room.
The coal effect real flame open gas fire is popular for its stunning flame appearance. It includes modern safety features like a flame failure device (FFD) and an atmospheric sensing device to cut off gas if the flue is blocked or oxygen levels drop.
These fires offer variable heat output and come in various trim colors. Many models feature high-level controls for easier operation without bending down. Most are designed to sit on a fireproof hearth, though some can be fitted as hole-in-the-wall fires. We offer both supply and installation services, but gas appliances must be installed by a GAS SAFE Registered installer.
Real Flame Inset Fires.
Real flame inset fires offer a blend of aesthetic appeal and efficient heating. Their realistic flames create a cozy, inviting atmosphere, while the inset design saves space by fitting neatly into the wall or existing fireplace.
There are two main types of inset fires: fully inset and semi-inset. Fully inset fires require the entire builder’s opening to be cleared, while semi-inset models are shallower and fit pre-cast flues or existing fire surrounds. These open-fronted fires come with a convector box, providing both radiant and convected heat. Gas supply is typically concealed within the side of the chimney breast where possible. Models are available in coal or pebble effect options.
Outset Fires.
Glass fronted flame effect fires.
These fires are the ideal combination of flame effect and high efficiency, and sit on a hearth on the face of the chimney-breast or fire surround. Some can be wall mounted direct to chimney-breast without a hearth.
Outset radiant fires.
Traditional type of fire with three o four white ceramic radiants, these fires need the same requirements as the glass fronted fires.
Balance flue flame effect fires.
These fires look the same as glass fronted fire but without the need for a conventional chimney; it is fitted directly onto an outside wall with the flue passing through the wall, it can be fitted with or without a fire surround.
Electric Fires.
The modern electric fire is far removed from the old one or two bar fires and now are more like traditional coal effect fires with a unique flame effect pattern to give the impression of a real fire, it also incorporates a convector heater.
Electric fires don’t require annual servicing or a long gas supply pipe—simply plug them into an electrical socket. They’re 100% efficient, with all heat going directly into the room, and the flame effect can be used without the heat.
Choose from coal or pebble effects, traditional or modern designs, including hole-in-the-wall installations or fire surrounds. Complete electrical suites with assembled surrounds and fires are also available. We have four live displays in our showroom.
